15-year-old arrested for robbing Brazilian national of $3,000
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Brazilian national on Thursday in the vicinity of Eping Ave, Bel Air Park.
The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Francesco Alves De Arujo Jr., a business administrator staying at the Roraima Residence Inn located at Eping Avenue, Bel Air Park Georgetown. The incident occurred at around 19:40h by four identifiable males on two motorcycles.
Reports are that on the day, Junior was heading east on Eping Avenue after he purchased a meal from the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), and while in the vicinity of Roraima Inn, he was confronted by the four men, who came from an eastern direction on two motorcycles.
The two pillion riders immediately dismounted the motorcycles, and one who was armed with a knife placed it on the victim’s neck and relieved him of $3,000.
The men then made good their escape, heading west. On Thursday, the matter was reported to the police, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage was viewed.
Subsequently, the victim visited the Alberttown Police Station to make a report and pointed out a 15-year-old of South Sophia, who was in custody pending investigation into another matter.
The 15-year-old was in custody along with a 17-year-old for shooting at police on patrol on Oronoque Street, Queenstown, at around 20:45h on Thursday night.
