A South Ruimveldt Georgetown teen was today slapped with a robbery under arms charge when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Leron Daly.
19-year-old Omar Williams of South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
On March 14, 2022, at New Market and Thomas Streets, while armed with a knife, he allegedly robbed Grace Thornhill of one Samsung Galaxy phone valued at $60,000 computer bag with $6,000.
The bag also had contained stationeries worth $2,600.
The police prosecutor had no objection to bail, but the accused must report to the Albertown Police Station every Monday at 9 am. As such, the Magistrate granted Willams bail for $45,000, and he is expected to make another court appearance on March 30, 2022.
