19-year-old fined, jailed for six months over marijuana possession

Jaheim Bowen, a 19-year-old Porter of Bareroot Village, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was fined $283,320 and sentenced to six months behind bars for marijuana possession.

Magistrate Wanda Fortune handed down the sentence in the Linden Magistrate’s Court. Bowen was arrested on Tuesday with a quantity of marijuana.
