21-year-old found with unlicenced firearm, cocaine in crotch

Today, an intelligence-led Police exercise conducted at Enterprise, East Coast Demerara (ECD), resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old man who was found with a firearm and suspected cocaine in his crotch.

Reports are that ranks conducted the search at about 06:45h when the suspected cocaine and black and brown .25 Beretta pistol was found in his crotch.

The man was told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested, and escorted to the Vigilance Police Station.

The suspected narcotic was weighed and amounted to 2 grams. The suspect also provided officers with information that resulted in the arrest of another resident of Enterprise, ECD. Investigations are ongoing.
