3 arrested after CANU finds over $1.5M in ganja at Albouystown
Three persons were taken into custody on Saturday after ranks from the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) unearthed 14 kilograms of marijuana at Albouystown, Georgetown.
In a brief statement, CANU said that an operation conducted at Hill Street Albouystown, Georgetown led to the discovery of the suspected cannabis.
The narcotics were escorted to CANU’s Headquarters, where it tested positive for cannabis and weighed 14 kilograms, with an estimated street value of $1.8 million.
“Three persons are in custody, assisting with investigations,” the statement concluded.
