3 remanded to prison over robbery under arms

Three men were remanded to prison for an alleged robbery under arms carried out on Saturday last at Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.

Those charged are 35-year-old Devon Hope, 28-year-old Wayne Bascom, and 50-year-old Ishwar Persaud.

They were all hauled before Magistrate Sunil Scarce in the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The charges stated that on August 20, 2022, at Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, they robbed Wazim Khan.

Bail was denied, and the men were remanded to prison until September 30, 2022, for statements.
