50-year-old man charged for littering in public places

A 50-year-old man has been charged with littering in public places and was released on $10,000 bail or 14 days imprisonment.

Amarnauth Latchman, also known as “Ramoo” of Pouderoyen, West Coast Demerara (WVD), was hauled before Magistrate Faith McGusty in the Wales Magistrate’s Court.

The court heard that on January 25th, 2022, Latchman was caught by Environmental Health Assistant Mr. Gary Hinds, dumping garbage within the Vreed-en-Hoop Masjid.

As a result, he was escorted to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station and processed.
