600 allottees receive house lots today in Plantation D'Endragt

The Ministry of Housing and Water – Central Housing and Planning Authority today hand out 600 house in Plantation D'Endragt, East Coast Demerara.

The Ministry of Housing and Water – Central Housing and Planning Authority on Tuesday hosted a Dream Realised Housing Drive at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre. This is the final edition of the housing drive for this year.

During the exercise, 600 house lots were given out in Plantation D'Endragt, East Coast Demerara.

Housing and Water Minster Collin Croal while addressing allottees emphasised the significant development that is in the pipeline.

“D'Endragt, by the time you go in there, is way less than 9 miles away from Georgetown. It is connected to nearby housing areas and it will also be part of the future development of the East Coast corridor and this are will be even closer to the new road that will be built for the East Coast that will connect from Aubrey Barker road, that goes up to Enmore in the first phase.”

He said more house lots will be developed on the East Coast Demerara similar to that on the East Bank Demerara in the New Year.

“For next year, 2023, we’re expected to spend another 10 billion dollars to be invested for new development in areas such as Hope, Hope Lowlands, Hope Estate, Good Hope and inclusive of course where you’re going D'Endragt.”

So far, 19,000 house lots have been allocated with 5000 alone been given out to persons on the East Coast Demerara.
