‘Baby’ and ‘Alpha’ busted with illegal firearms
Two men were on Thursday arrested by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) with illegal firearms and matching ammunition within the Botanical Gardens.
During an operation, CANU intercepted a motorcar with two male occupants. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two 9mm pistols and matching ammunition.
Alpha Fletchman, 32, of 4th Street Kingston, Georgetown, and Larron Semple, 32, called ‘Baby’ of Calcutta Mahaicony, were arrested and escorted to CANU’s headquarters with the firearms. Investigations are ongoing.
