Bail refused for teacher nabbed with over 30 lbs of ganja
A 49-year-old teacher has landed herself in prison after she was nabbed with a quantity of marijuana.
Sharon McCurdy, a 49-year-old teacher of Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara, has been arraigned on a possession of narcotics charge.
She is accused of having 31.4 grams of marijuana on June 06 for the purpose of trafficking.
McCurdy denied the charge when she appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore in the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
As a result, she was remanded to prison, and the case was adjourned to July 03 for report.
