Bartica miner charged with multiple offences remanded to prison
Coby Joshua Clay, also known as ‘Coby Layne,’ has been charged with a series of offences, including break-and-enter and larceny, and was remanded to prison.
Clay, a 22-year-old miner, was hauled before Magistrate Teriq Mohammed in the Bartica Magistrate’s Court.
The 22-year-old miner was charged with robbery under arms committed on Dorman Tobin and Rona Tobin, respectively.
Furthermore, he was charged with break and enter and larceny involving two separate victims, Shabika Syfox and Vimeleita Dupatta. In both cases, he pleaded not guilty.
Clay also faced two charges of simple larceny, one committed against Recardo Gonsalves and the other against Robert David. He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The 22-year-old miner was remanded to prison, and all the matters have been adjourned to December 13, 2024.
