Berbice U15 team trials continue this weekend
The Berbice Cricket Board is advancing efforts to select an Under-15 boys’ team for the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board inter-county tournament with three One-day-international (ODI) matches.
In an effort to conduct talent identification for a Berbice under-15 team, young cricketers within the county will face off in three fifty overs trial matches, set to begin on Saturday.
The players selected at these trials are will represent Berbice in the Guyana Cricket Board Inter-county tournament set for February.
Matches will be held throughout the remainder of January on Saturday 22nd, Wednesday 26th and Saturday 29th.
The selectors have named three teams along with captains for the trials which would be played on a competitive basis.
The teams would bear the names of three cricketing legends of the county; Rohan Kanhai, John Trim, Ivan Madray.

All players are required to present their vaccination cards to take part in the selection.
This selection process began with the Tenelec Under 15 county-wide tournament with sixteen teams. Later a total of fifty-six youth cricketers attended special training sessions with the junior selection committee.
The final team will be announced on January 30th.
