Body of man, 53, found submerged in Ogle trench sitting on bicycle

The body of a 53-year-old man was found submerged in a trench at Ogle, East Coast Demerara (ECD), in a sitting position on a bicycle. Dead is Gangaram Ishram of Lot 214 Industry Housing Scheme, ECD.

The Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said Police were alerted of a body in the trench by an unknown caller on Thursday at about 06:05h.

After he was pulled out of the water, no mark of violence was seen on his body. His sister, Carol Ishram, identified his body and disclosed that he was an alcoholic and had no medical illness or problem with anyone. The body is presently lying at Sandy's Funeral Home.
