CANU nabs two with over 4lbs of cannabis
An operation carried out at Orange Walk, Bourda, Georgetown, by ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) has resulted in the arrest of two men who allegedly had over 4lbs of cannabis in their possession.
In a statement, CANU said that ranks intercepted two males with a bag containing “brick-like” parcels of suspected cannabis.
Akeem Henry, 25, of lot 32 Bent Street, Werk-en-Rust, and Ryan Marks, 27, who has no fixed place of abode, were escorted to CANU’s Headquarters with the suspected narcotics.
It tested positive for cannabis and weighed 2.650 kilograms. It had a street value of $800,000. Investigations are ongoing.
