East Ruimveldt Empress leads GFF/Blue Water Female U-15 Tournament

East Ruimveldt Empress tops the leader board after last weekend’s round of matches in the GFF/Blue Water Female U-15 Tournament.


The competition, organised by the Guyana National Women’s Football Association (GNWFA), continued on Saturday last at the GFF National Training Centre, Providence, EBD.

Empress, Charlestown Strikers, and Chase Academy all racked up wins.


Empress, originating from the East Ruimveldt Secondary School, defeated Tutorial High 4-1 on account of a double strike off the boot of Dellanna Scott and one each from Azonia Wilson and Fayon Harr. Tutorial’s consolation goal was scored by Jada Mason.


Charlestown Super Strikers, led by a brace from Akeelah Vancooten won by a similar 4-1 margin against Tutorial Thunders. Nelisa Bristol was also on target with the other being an own goal. Score the lone goal for Tutorial Thinders was Afrika Blackman.


Chase Academy, through a Murta Chance hat-trick, trumped Campbellville United’s lone strike from Ronella Alexander to bag all three points via a 3-1 win.
