El Dorado signs agreement with CPL to extend partnership

El Dorado and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on Friday evening signed an agreement at the Pegasus Suite which will see the extension of El Dorado’s partnership with the “biggest party in sport” for the years 2022-2026- a five year period.

Speaking at the signing ceremony was Chairman of the Demerara Distillers Limited, Komal Singh, who said that they have extended this partnership because it has been “a good one, [and] a mutually beneficial one.”

He said that this partnership has evolved and both parties have been able to find synergies to support each other.

Meanwhile, Commercial Director of CPL, Jamie Stewart contended that as CPL grows overtime the El Dorado brand can grow tremendously as they can showcase this product to more than 500 million viewers around the globe.

He also commended the Government on initiating Cricket Carnival into this event and contended that the major achievement of having the final hosted in Guyana is having the game coming to its home.

This partnership was first initiated in 2013. El Dorado this year will also celebrate 10 years as the official spirit of CPL.

CPL will be held from August 31 to September 30 with matches being held in various countries such as Trinidad and Tobago and St. Lucia. The final will be held in Guyana for the next three years.
