Three females are in Police custody after allegedly robbing a Construction worker of $100,000 in cash.

Reports are that the victim, Devon Abrams and one of the suspects are known to each other. Abrams told investigators that he met Reanna Hamilton, called ‘Katy,’ who is known to him at A1 Night Club, which is located at Soesdyke Back Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

According to Abrams, she introduced him to two other females, whose names were given as Kina Wao and Alishea Daniels.

He said they started imbibing, and he had the money in his back right-side pocket and $23,000 in cash in a separate pocket, which he was using to buy the alcohol.

After spending some time at the Night Club, Abrams said they decided to go to Freedom Bar Sport Club at about 03:45h on Saturday morning.

After spending about 30 minutes, the victim said the girls decided to take a swim at Shanta’s Creek. Upon arrival at the Creek, the victim and the females took off their clothes and left them on top of the car they used.

After swimming for a while, Hamilton said she wanted to go home and decided to exit the water. She left the victim and the two other females swimming. At about 05:45h, the other two girls decided they wanted to go home and exited the water.

The victim dropped the females at a location in Soesdyke, and Hamilton wanted to stay with her friends instead of going to her Friendship’s home.

As the victim was about to drive off, he checked for the money but could not find it. As a result., he called Hamilton, who did not answer her phone.

In light of this, Abrams went to the Timehri Police Station, where he made a report.

The suspects were arrested, and statements were taken as the investigation continues.
