
The Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) has reported that the 36-year-old Guyana Defence Force (GDF) rank, who died by suicide was seen running along the Belladrum Seadam, shouting that he will kill himself.
According to the CCU, Terry Fraser’s sister was at home when she received information from a friend that her brother was running on the Seadam.
“As a result, the family went looking for Terry. On arrival at the seadam they saw Terry lying on his back and was bleeding from a wound on his throat,” the CCU noted.
He was rushed to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital, where a doctor pronounced him dead on arrival. His body is presently at the Bailey’s Funeral Parlour, awaiting a Post Mortem Examination (PME).
The CCU revealed that Fraser and his child’s mother were having domestic problems after she took out a restraining order against him.
