Imran Ally, a relatively young businessman, on Sunday opened the doors to his hardware business which he described as a 'one stop' for all construction materials.
The business is located at Lot 5C Enmore Estate Road and offers a wide selection of materials such as tiles, cement, and woods which are required for home construction.
The business which took approximately three years to complete is valued at about $300m.
An emotional Ally who spoke at the opening ceremony related that the journey towards the establishment of his business was not an easy one. He said that it was his mother who pushed him towards this and her demise shortly after made it especially emotional for him.
"I spent a lot of time, I spent a lot of energy into this. We plunge our blood into this business", he said while assuring customers of providing all their construction materials at an affordable cost.
Meanwhile, Housing and Water Minister Collin Croal congratulated the businessman on this new investment noting that it not only provides a framework for employment but also comes at a critical time where the construction sector is booming.
"We welcome these investments [...] I want to encourage you to be competent to the evolving needs of the sector and thrive to keep up in this growing market."
Meanwhile, Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Nigel Dharamlall also congratulated the businessman on his new venture while relating that he is confident that this business would be successful.
As the programme went along scores of congratulatory messages were communicated to Ally.
This business would also result in residents of Enmore and neighbouring villages benefitting from jobs.
