La Penitence man found dead in front of home with suspected gunshot wounds
Clinton Chase, a 70-year-old resident of Lot 148 Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown, was discovered dead on the northern parapet in front of his home on Sunday with suspected gunshot wounds.
The dead man’s granddaughter, Michelle Ward, 52, told investigators that she received a phone call around 22:10 h from an unknown number, informing her that her grandfather had fallen from his motorcycle in front of his home.
As such, she went to the location and found the elderly man lying motionless on his back. The Police and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) were informed and were dispatched to the scene.
An examination of Chase’s body discovered wounds on the right-side jaw and left upper arm and chest. He was pronounced dead. The wounds are suspected to be gunshot injuries.
The body is at Memorial Gardens mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
