He further extends condolences to the families, friends, and co-workers of the deceased. Hardial, a resident of Lot 105 Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara (EBD), met his demise on Friday after he was reportedly electrocuted and fell from a three-story building.

Reports are that Hardial was employed by Unitech Awning and Shutter Manufacturer. On the day in question, he and his 53-year-old colleague went to the three-story building under construction to install aluminium gutters.

During the process, the 19-year-old, who was on the third floor of the building, lifted the aluminium gutters, which came into contact with electrical wires on a nearby lamp pole.

As a result, he was electrocuted and fell from the third floor to the ground. His colleague, who was on the ground floor, witnessed the tragic event.

Police said that Hardial was not wearing any protective gear or boots at the time of the incident. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) were promptly summoned, and Hardial was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
