Labourer, 40, found dead in Corentyne house
Doodnauth Singh, a 40-year-old labourer of Number 68 Village, Corentyne, was on Sunday found dead in a house he shared with another individual.
MTV News Update understands that Singh died sometime between 07:00h on Saturday and 07:00h on Sunday.
Shivnauth Ganesh, 55, with whom Singh shared the house, said he left home for work on Saturday, and the 40-year-old labourer was on his bed at the time.
He mentioned that he returned home around 14:00h and noticed that Singh was still lying in bed at the same spot where he had left him earlier in the day.
He added that in the evening, he retired to bed, but on Sunday morning, he realised Singh was still in bed, and a strong foul stench was emanating from him with blood on the ground.
As a result, he raised an alarm and the Police were summoned. The body was examined for marks of violence, but none were visible.
