Lam & Neto bear Golden Arrowhead at 44th Chess Olympiad Opening Ceremony
The inaugural ceremony of the 44th Chess Olympiad was graced with the presence of many dignitaries of the Indian Government such as the Honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin.

The first ever FIDE chess olympiad torch relay also concluded with Viswanathan Anand (first Indian Grandmaster and five time world chess champion) taking the torch to its final destination at the opening ceremony.
Guyana's flag was raised in the march past by our youngest ever women's champion Pooja Lam and Roberto Neto.
On Friday, the men's team face off against Andorra while the women's team faces Mexico for round 1. Anaya Lall and Ethan Lee are on reserve.
