Linden man jailed over break and enter

Charged: Norwyck Bayley

Norwyck Bayley, a 35-year-old labourer of 158 Half Mile Wismar, Linden, was jailed for one year after pleading guilty to two counts of break and enter and larceny.


Bayley was arraigned before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court, where the charges were read to him.


According to the Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the 35-year-old labourer committed the offences between September 22 and 30.


He was sentenced to one-year imprisonment on the first count and six months on the other. The sentences will run concurrently. Thus, he would only spend one year behind bars.
