Man, 41, busted with meth near Sophia bus park
A 41-year-old man was on Monday busted with a quantity of suspected methamphetamine at the Stabroek bus park.
The Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) said it conducted an operation in the vicinity of the Sophia bus park and intercepted the man, who was carrying a bag.
A subsequent search of the bag unearthed a quantity of transparent ziplock bags containing a clear crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamine.
Delon King, of Norton Street, Wortmanville, Georgetown, was arrested and escorted to CANU’s headquarters with the suspected narcotics, which weighed and amounted to 88.6 grams. Investigations are ongoing.
