Man busted with $21M worth of ganja

A 59-year-old man was on Monday taken into the custody of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) after being found with $21 million worth of marijuana.
In a statement on Tuesday, CANU said that officers conducted an operation at Lot 604 Hibiscus, West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, which led to the discovery of 11 parcels of suspected cannabis.

As a result, Bryan Wharton was arrested and escorted to CANU’s Headquarters with the suspected narcotics.
The suspected narcotics tested positive for cannabis and had a total weight of 22.8 kilograms. Investigations are ongoing.
