Stuart made an arraignment before Magistrate Faith McGusty in the Vreed-En-Hoop Magistrate’s Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The particular of the charge stated that on April 16, 2022, at Bel Air Avenue, Lamaha Gardens, he had 64 grams of cannabis in his possession for trafficking.
He was remanded to prison until May 10, 2022, and the matter was transferred to the Leonora Magistrate’s Court.
Stuart was arrested on Saturday along with Keith King and two others after ranks of the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) conducted an operation at a residence in Bel-Air Avenue, Lamaha Gardens, and a search resulted in the discovery of two parcels of suspected cocaine and a quantity of suspected cannabis.
King was charged with the cocaine, while Stuart was accused of the cannabis. The two others, which included a minor, were released from custody.
