Man who stabbed wife multiple times in front of toddler remanded
Navin Stoll, the 27-year-old truck driver who was seen in a video stabbing his wife multiple times in front of their toddler, has been remanded to prison.
Appearing before Magistrate Wanda Fortune in the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates’ Court, Stoll, who hails from Swan Village along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway, was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
The charge stated that on December 04, 2024, at Kuru Kururu, Navin attempted to murder Claurine Stoll.
The Court heard that Claurine is still hospitalised and that Navin is in the habit of abusing her. As a result of this, she moved out of their matrimonial home.
He was remanded to prison and is slated to make another court appearance on January 10, 2025.
Following the stabbing on December 04, the video made its rounds on social media, and Navin was subsequently arrested.
