Mason hospitalised after being shot at Bachelor's Adventure
A 44-year-old mason is now a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) after being shot to the abdomen on Friday night at Bachelor's Adventure, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The victim has been identified as Kevin Phillips of Melanie, ECD. The incident occurred at about 22:20h.
An eyewitness told the Police that he was driving along the Bachelor's Adventure Middle Road when he noticed Phillips seated on the western half of the street on a culvert.
The eyewitness further stated that a male brandishing a handgun walked up to the victim and fired a gunshot. The suspect then fled the scene through a cross street.
Phillips was immediately rushed to the GPHC by the eyewitness and underwent surgery. Police investigations are ongoing.
