Mill operator nabbed with illegal gun, ammo gets bail
Daughton Jackson, a 31-year-old mill operator, was on Tuesday granted bail after he was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Jackson of Lot 4642 West Minister, West Bank Demerara (WBD), appeared before Rhondel Weever in the Wales Magistrate's Court, where the two charges were read to him.
Jackson pleaded not guilty to both charges and was granted $250,000 bail. The matter was adjourned to July 04, 2024. On Sunday at about 12:30h, Police, acting on information received, went to Jackson’s home at West Minister, West Bank Demerara.
Upon arrival, he was told of the information the Police received and asked whether he held a firearm licence, to which he answered no.
