Miner accused of rape of child released on $150,000 bail
Shawn Ceasar, a 28-year-old miner, was granted bail in the sum of $150,000 after appearing in court on Thursday, facing a charge of rape.
Ceasar stood before Magistrate Teriq Mohammed in the Bartica Magistrate’s Court, where he was formally charged with the rape of a child under 16 years.
During the hearing, Ceasar was not required to enter a plea. After considering the details of the case, Magistrate Mohammed granted bail, and the case was adjourned to October 25, 2024.
