Motorcyclist, 23, dies after crashing into tree on Tapakuma Trail
Police in Region Two are probing an accident that occurred on Saturday along the Tapakuma Trail, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Chris Ramchan of Tapakuma Lake.
According to preliminary inquiries, the young man and his brother were travelling on separate motorcycles along the trail. Chris, who was leading on motorcycle CM 6457, reportedly collided with a tree and was thrown onto the trail, sustaining severe injuries.
His brother, who was trailing behind, noticed Chris’s motorcycle’s taillights suddenly disappear. Upon reaching the spot, he found his brother lying next to the motorcycle, critically injured.
Chris was immediately rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital but succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention. His body currently rests at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination. Investigations are ongoing.
