Minister of Education Priya Manickchand on Monday announced that the results for the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) 2022 would be out on or around September 15.
“Visited the NGSA marking center again today. Very happy to report that marking will conclude today, but several processes still to be completed. Results are expected on or around Sept 15,” the Minister said on her Facebook page.
The NGSA exam concluded on July 7, 2022, and some 16,000 students wrote the exam.This exam is key as it determines which secondary school the child matriculates to.
Students were required to write papers one and two for the four main subject areas: Mathematics, English Language, Social Studies, and Science.
The exam is usually held in April but was pushed back in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Education Minister had said the exam was prepared similarly to the 2021 examination, covering topics up to the Grade Five level.
