“The people have been here very early this morning and they were just waiting anxiously to get service. They are very happy about it. Some people have tell me that they didn’t expect to leave with a bag so heavy and being the Imam I am very thankful to Bait- Ur- Rhana,” he said.

Additionally, Abdool Karil, a beneficiary lauded the outreach, saying “This exercise is very good, I glad I come out and get lil medicine and see the doctor for free […] at least you ain’t got to pay nothing, you come see a doctor and tell them you complain and you get whatever treatment you want.”

The residents got the chance to interact with medical personnel from the Mercy Hospital, share their medical issues, and get diagnoses and possible treatments. Services such as blood pressure and sugar testing were also offered . At the end of the exercise, clothing and groceries were distributed.

This organisation has been in existence for a number of years, with is main aim being to help the less fortunate.
