Police Female Footballers Receive Scholarships from Chase Academic Foundation

Director and Principal of Chase Academic Foundation, Henry Chase, has granted scholarships to two students of the school who play for the Guyana Police Force’s football team.

Imani Maxwell (17) and Martha Chance (13) are members of the Guyana Under-20 and Under-17 National teams respectively.

Chase was impressed with their performance in recent matches and rewarded the girls for their discipline and love of the game.

“Truly educated persons are those who thrive to make society a better place”,

he noted.

He further stated that the scholarship program began in 2012 and has been continuous to date - having eight other females currently on scholarships from various football clubs.

The two recipients expressed their gratitude to the Guyana Police Force and Chase Academic Foundation for their support and noted that the scholarships will play a significant role in their academic and athletic development.
