Police hunting for motorcyclist in High Street hit-and-run
Police ranks are hunting for a motorcyclist who hit down a pedestrian on High Street, Georgetown, at about 19:00h on Thursday and drove away.
The injured pedestrian has been identified as Jvon Ross of Lot 54 Durban Street Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown.
Police said that the motorcyclist was proceeding north along the one-way on Hight Street at a fast rate when he collided with Ross, who was crossing the road near Ashmin’s building.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian fell onto the roadway, receiving injuries on his body. He was picked up by his parents, placed in a motor car, and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was admitted. The investigations are ongoing.
