In a statement, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said during the operation, officers were on the lookout for illegal firearms, ammunition, and narcotics.
Detective Inspector Seetaram led the search, uncovering a black plastic bag containing marijuana hidden under a water tank. Additional searches revealed more contraband: another plastic bag tucked under a pot, and two more bags concealed under a mat on the ground.
Further investigation by another member of the search party led to the discovery of an Ensure milk bottle, which contained a transparent plastic bag filled with marijuana.
The total weight of the confiscated drugs was recorded as follows: 175 grams, 185 grams, 40 grams, and 20 grams, culminating in a total of 420 grams.
Authorities have stated that investigations are ongoing as they work to determine the origins of the drugs and identify any individuals involved in their distribution.
