Pork-knocker jailed in absentia arrested
After evading his trial on possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking charge, Quacy Hall, a 36-year-old pork-knocker, was nabbed on Friday by Police.
In a brief statement, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said that Hall had been on the run following an arrest warrant issued on March 7, 2024, by Magistrate Crystal Lambert in the Bartica Magistrates Court.
The warrant was issued at the conclusion of Hall’s trial, where he was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
The GPF said that Hall, who hails from Alliance Road, Timehri, East Bank Demerara (EBD), will now serve his sentence as ordered by the court.
