Sasha Shariff wins for Guyana on day 4 of FIDE Chess Olympiad

Sasha Shariff recorded her first point in the FIDE chess Olympiad in Chennai, India in Round four of the tournament against India.

18 year old Sasha defeated Theophane Paul from Haiti who is ranked 1493. Sasha's current FIDE ranking is 1183.

Each member of Guyana's women's team now have one point with 7 rounds left to go.

In Round 3 the team defeated Laos when Pooja Lam, Nellisha Johnson and Jessica Callender won.
