Sister Village fire leaves four homeless; family pleads for assistance to rebuild
A family of four is now contemplating their next move after a fire ravaged their Sisters Village, East Bank Berbice (EBE) home on Thursday.
MTV News Update understands that the two-bedroom house was occupied by 40-year-old Lawrence De Cuhna, his wife, and two kids.
De Cuhna told reporters that around 10:30h, a resident informed him of the fire but at the time, no one was not at home.
“I ride come down straight here and meet couple well body down deh, and I see the house flat, every single thing burn down in the house that’s what happen here so right now I left so confused I aint know what is the next step for me because this is everything me and the wife build,” he noted.
In his plea for help, De Cuhna said he is willing to accept any form of assistance that would aid his family to get back on their feet.
