Skeletal remains found in abandoned house at Lancaster

The skeletal remains suspected to be that of 33-year-old Rodrick Applesammy were found in an abandoned house located at Coconut Walk, Lancaster, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara (ECD).

The Guyana Police Force’s (GPF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) said that Alvin Rambishun reported that the remains might be that of his brother.

Rambishun reported to Police that he was out at sea when he received information from some of his workmates that his brother, who resided in the abandoned house in Lancaster, was found dead, and his remains were under the house.

The man related that information to his sister Tavener Persaud, who visited the area, and the skeletal remains were found.

The matter was reported to the Police, and the remains were subsequently taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
