Teon Allen called ‘Spoil Child,’ was on Saturday night taken into Police custody after he was reportedly found with an unlicensed 9mm pistol and 18 live matching rounds of ammunition in his possession.

In a statement, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said that at about 23:00h, ranks stationed at the main gate of the Masicka Concert held at the Leonora Stadium, West Coast Demerara (WCD) observed Allen entering the show with a black Gucci side bag acting suspiciously.

As a result, he was stopped and asked to subject himself to a search. Despite some resistance, Police managed to search him and the bag he was carrying and found the illegal items.

According to the statement, when questioned about the firearm, Allen, 42, refused to cooperate and began behaving disorderly.

He was arrested and taken to the Leonora Police Station, along with the weapon and ammunition. At the station, Police said that Allen confirmed that he did not possess a license for the firearm. The suspect remains in custody pending charges.

Allen, who is no stranger to law enforcement, would have been slapped with several charges, including possession of illegal guns over the years.

In 2020, the former policeman was charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Collissa Hunte, who was killed during a shooting incident. The status of this case is not known yet.
