Station Street murder/suicide: Venezuelan woman ended relationship days prior
Yuni Zamora Castro, the 25-year-old Venezuelan national who was stabbed to death on Saturday allegedly at the hands of her ex-lover, had ended their relationship two days ago.
This is according to neighbours, who briefly explained what transpired. While the man’s identity is unknown, MTV News Update understands he is 60 years old.
According to neighbours, the man returned to the apartment on Saturday afternoon and found Florida on her phone. This reportedly enraged him, leading to a heated argument.
In a fit of rage, he armed himself with a knife and stabbed her multiple times in the chest, in full view of her brother and a female friend.
Despite their efforts to intervene and save her, the man retreated to another room, where he later committed suicide.
