Teacher collapses in classroom and dies

Students from the Line Path Secondary School on the Corentyne are left traumatised after their teacher collapsed in front of their class and later died today.

Dead is Tina Prasad.

According to information received, the woman attended school as she normally does but later complained about feeling unwell to colleagues. MTV News Update understands that Miss Prasad was teaching a class when she collapsed.

Students alerted other teachers at the school who assisted in rushing the young teacher to the Skeldon Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

When contacted, relatives of the deceased were too distraught to speak with the media.

Investigations are ongoing.
