Team Mohamed’s playfully hints at buying Guyana Amazon Warriors

Team Mohamed’s hinted earlier today on social media that they are considering purchasing Guyana’s Caribbean Premier League Franchise, the Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Dr Rajisanghi Ramroop is the current owner of Guyana Amazon Warriors and has not signalled any intentions to sell.

Scores of persons on social media have called on Azruddin Mohamed, Owner of the local racing team, Team Mohamed’s, to purchase the Guyana Amazon Warriors with some implications that they are dissatisfied with decisions made by the current leadership.

Responding through Team Mohamed’s social media page, a message was posted reading “THINKING ABOUT IT...” accompanied by screenshots of some posts calling for Azruddin Mohamed to purchase the team.

The responses in the comments of the post indicate that many Guyanese would welcome the move should they decide to purchase the team.

Team Mohamed’s are well-known locally for their consistent and generous support to various sports, as well as community development initiatives across the country.

The team was founded in 2013, the opening season of the Caribbean Premier League.

The Warriors are the only team to have ever made it to five CPL finals (2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019) but have never won the Championship title.
