Three found dead in bus stuck in ‘deep pothole’ along Mabura trail
Three individuals were discovered dead inside minibus BAC 7350 along the Mabura trail at 28 Miles on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as the driver of the minibus, Leon Achee, and an occupant, Refa Bovell of Linden. The third person has not yet been identified.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) said in a statement that the Commander of Regional Division 10, Superintendent Guy Nurse, and a team of police officers visited the scene.
Upon inspection, the minibus was found stuck in a deep pothole, with its rear submerged. The vehicle’s engine was running, and all windows were locked.
“It is suspected that the victims had spent the night in the bus,” the GPF said.
Examinations of the bodies revealed no visible marks of violence, and Police said no foul play is suspected at this time.
