Three in custody after Police recover firearm and ammo at Castello Housing Scheme
Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) recovered a .32 CZ pistol, a magazine containing four live rounds of .32 ammunition, and three cell phones during an operation conducted in the Castello Housing Scheme, Georgetown.
The operation, which took place on Wednesday, was led by an Assistant Superintendent from Regional Division 4 ‘A’.
According to a statement from the law enforcement agency, the discovery was made in a clump of bushes within the housing scheme.
The operation resulted in the arrest of three male suspects who reside in close proximity to where the firearm, ammunition, and other articles were found.
The three men have been taken into police custody for questioning as authorities continue to investigate the matter.
