A 12-member jury was on Tuesday empanelled before Justice Jo-Ann Barlow at the High Court, to hear the trial of Lennox Wayne called “Two Colour,” who is accused of murdering 19-year-old cosmetologist, Ashmini Hariram.
The charge against Wayne is that he murdered Hariram, also called “Monisha Hariram,” on July 10, 2014. He has pleaded not guilty.
The murder accused is being represented by Attorneys-at-Law Ronald Daniels, Kiswana Jefford and A. Stephens.
Reports are that Hariram of Lusignan, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was shot and killed just after disembarking a minibus in her community.
It was reported that a man emerged from a motor car and shot the 19-year-old cosmetologist in close range to the right side of her head.
The gunman then re-entered the motor car which later sped off. It was reported that another man admitted to being the getaway driver while Wayne reportedly gave Police a caution statement admitting to the crime.
