Unidentified man found dead at Palmyra
Police in Berbice are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man, whose body was discovered behind the newly built Ansa McAl building at Palmyra, East Canje Berbice.
When contacted, Regional Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus, said that the man was found in a crouched position, clad in green three-quarter pants, a light green jersey, and barefooted between a clump of grass.
The man’s body was examined for marks of violence, and according to Bacchus, it was observed that the skin from the right side of his face, right ankle, and right hand seemed to be peeled off.
Notwithstanding, the body was taken to a Funeral Home as it awaits identification and a Post Mortem Examination (PME). Investigations are ongoing.
