Vendors anticipate last-minute holiday shopping

Christmas shopping is expected to swing into high gear early this weekend, as vendors remain optimistic for bigger sales.

A team from MTV News Update earlier today visited Regent Street to speak with vendors to get am insight as to what sales look like this holiday season.

The vendors told this newscast that the streets have been less busy and sales have slow this year when compared to previous years. However, they remain optimistic that sales will improve during the last minute holiday shopping.

The vendors also praised the Guyana Police Force for heightened security noting that police officers can been seen present and patrolling on the street.
